Interview with Judit Bénard-Morva – Credit and Collections Manager at Unisys

Name          Judit Bénard-Morva
Job title      Credit and Collections Manager
Company   Unisys
City             Budapest
  • Where are you from?
I’m from Hungary, currently working and living in Budapest.
  • How did you get into credit?
That was a pure coincidence I must say. After having completed my studies I spent a year in Germany as an intern at Opel (GM) in the European Brand Team and I really enjoyed it. However, during my stay it became obvious that the auto industry had entered a downturn and I had little chances staying in the field, so I started looking for a job. Living in the country, my German grew strong and as I had a degree in Economics I got a job with GE Commercial Financing as a Collection Analyst and that is how it all started.
  • How long have you worked in credit?
    12 years
  • Where have you worked?
I spent a year with GE then moved on to IBM Global Financing to handle distressed accounts. That was really fun and I soon became a Global Analyst. After that I thought it was time to advance my career and joined Unisys as a Team Manager 8 years ago. 2 years later I took on the Country C&C Manager role for CEE and Nordics and for DACH in 2015.
  • What was your proudest professional achievement?
At Unisys we started as a small team working on the low value accounts. I was very proud when we were given the opportunity to work with the most complex account in EMEA as an acknowledgement of our skills and achievements just 2 years later. I’m also proud of the team I’ve built, we had 0% attrition in 4 consecutive years and I have people who are with us from day 1. (8 years!)
  • If ACCEE could do one thing for you, what would it be?
    Bring regular conferences to Budapest.
  • What are your hobbies?
I have two of them. One is 4 years old, the other is just turning 2
  • What was the last book you read and last movie seen at cinema?
The barons of agriculture from Tamás Frei and the last movie is Spotlight.
  • One interesting thing about you?
I used to learn Chinese at university. Great language, I will try to continue when I find a little bit of time.

Thanks for taking part in this interview.
